Wycombe win battle for McCoy

WYCOMBE Wanderers have beaten off competition to sign Wealdstone trialist Marvin McCoy on a one-year deal.

The 21-year-old right-back has enjoyed a hugely successful trial at the Adams Park club and impressed in games at Chesham United, Hayes & Yeading, Brentford and home to Reading.

That has earned the talent a professional contract three years after the last season's Stones Player of the Season was released by Watford.

We exclusively revealed this afternoon that McCoy would be having a medical at Wanderers and that Gary Waddock would be bringing a team to play Wealdstone in a pre-season friendly at the beginning of next season.
