Bessborough II lost to Edmonton by 29 runs

BESSBOROUGH'S second XI will travel to Wembley on Saturday still seeking their first win of the season after being edged out by Edmonton.

Hopes were high they could build on their three draws to date but Edmonton were in no mood to surrender their perfect winning record, opening up a gap of 12 points at the summit of the 2nd XI Division Three of the Middlesex County League.

They were sent packing for a competitive total of 202 in 48 overs with young 'Borough seamer

Rohan Karkhanis the pick of the bowlers with five for 61.

The run chase always seemed a struggle for the hosts and only Rahul Asharia (33) and Andy Carr (27) looked like putting Edmonton under any sort of pressure.
