Middle order collapse wastes good start for Northwood

Northwood Town 170 all out Old Finchleians 171-5 Town lost by five wickets

DAVE Bushnell's four-wicket haul couldn't stop an injury-ravaged Town crashing to defeat at Old Finchleians.

Brendan Heaney (19) got off to a rapid start before Raj Ahluwalia and Rohan Lee put on a second-wicket partnership of 71 before Ahluwalia (34) was dismissed to leave Town in a decent position at 91-2 with 20 overs to go.

However, Lee (62) watched in horror as a middle-order collapse put them in trouble at 134-7.

Ben Rawson-Jones crashed a quickfire 32 off 25 balls, but from 168-8 Town could only limp to 170 all out.

And, despite Bushnell's 4-49, Finchleians eased home with five wickets.
