TROY Hewitt should be a QPR player by tomorrow night.
Rangers boss Neil Warnock made the Harrow Borough striker a contract offer during a second round of talks today and it is expected the deal will be completed in the next 24 hours.
Hewitt has attracted a string of bids from league clubs including Peterborough and Barnet in recent days following 20 goals in all competitions in this his first season at Ryman League level.
However, he appears set to spurn the opportunity of regular first-team football and take a gamble on life with the Championship leaders.
Borough boss David Howell said: “QPR have made Troy an offer and hopefully will be sorted out for him to be signed before tomorrow night’s game against Ipswich.
“So while we are heading to Hornchurch Troy should be becoming a QPR player and I’m delighted for him.”
