Harrow Borough 3-0 Beckenham Town
ROCKY Baptiste finally laid to rest his goal-scoring demons with his first strike since "that miss" in November as Borough cruised into the quarter finals of the London Senior Cup.
Handing debuts to left-back Ronayne Marsh-Brown and midfielder James King, both signed on dual registrations from Staines Town, Harrow boss David Howell was delighted with his side's professional performance against their plucky Kent opponents.
However, Baptiste was easily the more happier and relieved player at Earlsmead after finding the net for the first time since that comical open goal miss from one yard in the 5-3 win over Waltham Abbey, a boob which is widely regarded as the "miss of the century" and attracted millions of hits to the video showing it.
He converted Lewis Cook's cross in the 67th minute to put the game to bed after Kenta Nakashima (58 mins) and an own goal by James Holder (35 mins) has put Borough in control.
It might have been a different story had Gary Gorman not contrived to miss from four yards as his side trailed 1-0.
Harrow finished the game strongly but Andray Baptiste had to be at his best to save Darren Wises's powerful header and George Belchamber's free-kick.
Harrow Borough: Baptiste, Frempong, Marsh-Brown (Lyall, 90), Walters, Orlu, King, Nakashima, Fraser (Dahl, 76), Clarke (Morlese, 76), Baptiste, Cook.
