Looking strong and unbeaten in six

HARROW Borough will need no extra motivation to extend their unbeaten run when they continue their Ryman Premier road-trip at Canvey Island on Saturday and Sutton United next Tuesday.

The Earlsmead outfit are unbeaten in six league games and have taken four points from six in their last two successive away outings.

Their momentum was somewhat hindered by Tuesday night's postponed game at Tonbridge Angels because of a frozen pitch but Borough boss Dave Howell is confident his side can head into the Christmas period with two more impressive results on the road.

Last season Howell's men trailed 3-0 at half-time at Canvey before pulling a goal back, while Sutton are again expected to be among the sides in play-off contention.

"The mood in the camp is good and now we have two very important games to look forward to," he said. "We know Sutton are going to be up there while the lads will also be up for Canvey."

And he will be looking for more of the same from strike pairing Rocky Baptiste (pictured) and Dewayne Clarke, who gave Cray Wanderers all sorts of problems last weekend.

"It was the best they have played together, their awareness and work-rate was fantastic," added Howell. "They get on well both on and off the pitch and bring out the best in one another."

Borough should be boosted by the return of first team captain Wayne Walters from injury for Saturday's trip to the Brockwell Stadium, while fellow defender Richard Orlu could also come back into the fold after being sidelined.
