MIDDLESEX COUNTY CRICKET LEAGUE DIVISION ONE Stanmore 165 all out Teddington 169-6 Stanmore lost by four wickets
STANMORE'S hopes of surviving the drop in the Middlesex County Cricket League Division One suffered another blow as they lost to Teddington at home.
The hosts lost the toss and were put into bat and looked to have started well when they reached 93-2 well before lunch.
Opener Talha Azam hit a solid 19 before number three and four men Tom Cullen and Tim Percival stole the show with a 66-run partnership.
But after Percival fell, the Stanmore batting collapsed in what is now all too familiar fashion for their fans.
Chanmeet Kohli and Nicholas Goh both followed Percival rapidly, and Stanmore dropped to 99-5.
The hosts never really recovered, and despite an unbeaten 65 from Cullen, Stanmore found themselves dismissed on 165.
Teddington started out of the gates quickly, storming to 63 before they lost their first opener.
Stanmore's Mukesh Bhatt (4-56) and Marc Reingold (2-49) had other ideas and soon the visitors found themselves 94-5.
Unfortunately for the hosts, Teddington's batting picked up quickly as they reached 169-6 to leave Stanmore still in search of their first league win since beating bottom side Southgate on July 21.
