Stanmore students selected for British football team

STANMORE College students Emma Davies and Chloe Crook are celebrating after making the final squad for the British Colleges Sport England national football team to face Australia in Telford today (Thursday).

The pair, both first year BTEC Sports Diploma students, impressed during several trials at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre in December and have been included in the final 16 for the trip to Shropshire.

QPR fan Emma, 16, of Winfield Way, South Ruislip, and 17-year-old goalkeeper Chloe both play for the college team and Barnet Ladies Reserves and are hoping their hard work and training has paid off.
