CHARITIES came together to teach people about living with cancer.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir temple in Neasden hosted a conference with Macmillan Cancer Support and St Luke’s Hospice entitled Cancer Care: Living with Cancer on Saturday.
More than 60 people of all ages attended the event and two patients gave talks about their personal experiences with the disease.
Another talk was presented by Tracy Neill, a clinical nurse specialist from Macmillan Cancer Support and gave practical advice on spotting symptoms and what to do if you are concerned.
David Smith, a nurse at St Luke’s in Kenton Grange, Kenton, spoke about the role of the hospice.
