FIVE young men accused of a sex attack in an underpass near Northwick Park Tube station are expected to enter pleas before the end of the month.
The suspects all face an identical single count of ‘intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or over and that touching was sexual when she did not consent and you did not reasonably believe that she was consenting’.
The offence is alleged to have taken place on August 28 in the underpass that connects the London Underground station to the University of Westminster’s Harrow Campus and the path that leads to the rear entrance of Northwick Park Hospital, which are both in Watford Road, Harrow.
The five defendants are:
■ Rupesh Bava, 18, of Woodstock Road, Wembley
■ Chintak Jagdish, 19, of Craigmuir Park, Wembley
■ Akshay Kanji, 18, of Clayton Avenue, Wembley
■ Krupesh Lauchande, 18, of Bowrons Avenue, Wembley
■ Shailesh Sina, 19, of Woodmans Grove, Neasden.
They appeared at Harrow Crown Court on Thursday, January 3, when their plea hearing was scheduled for January 31 at the same court.
Until then, the five men remain subject to conditional bail.
