PEOPLE in Wembley will have a say in how their area is improved in the next few years.
Wembley Central is set to receive at least £1million of Big Lottery funding to change the area for the better and people are being asked what they would like to see.
The funding comes from the Big Local programme, which is helping 150 small communities across England become more positive places.
Labour leader of Brent Council, councillor Muhammed Butt, said: “I am delighted we have got this funding for Wembley. The scheme brings together my three priorities of fairness, jobs and growth and communities.
“It is completely resident-led, so it will be up to the residents living in the area to use the £1m on the things that matter to them. It can be spent on anything from starting up social enterprises and addressing unemployment to tackling local issues or providing more activities and services for people locally.
“It’s for you to decide what you want for your community.”
