A FAMILY bakers has opened a new store in Queensbury and is planning further domination in Harrow.
Wenzel’s has branches across north west London and opened a store in Streatfield Road, Queensbury, on Friday, December 7.
Sarah Wenzel, daughter of Peter who set the business up in 1975, is a general manager for the company and said trade had been going well in the first week.
She said: “It has been going well so far, we have got all of our Christmas stock in such as mince pies and panettone which has been selling really well.”
The success of the bakers is down to the fact that it has remained a family business after all these years, she said.
“We have got shops all over the place now and it is still very much a family business. We have about 250 other staff and we are all one big family,” Sarah said.
The store is the 24th in London and Wenzel’s is planning to open a new store in Stanmore next year.
