A WOMAN believed to be in her 70s died in Edgware after a road traffic collision.
The elderly woman died at the scene in Camrose Avenue just before noon on Tuesday December 11.
Air ambulance attended the scene and the London Ambulance Service sent two single responders, a car and a duty manager.
A spokesperson said: "Sadly despite the best efforts of our staff the patient, a woman reported to be in her 70s, died at the scene."
The incident happened at the junction of Camrose Avenue and Metheun Road and a white van was involved in the collision.
A man, the driver of the van, has been arrested.
