STUDENTS returned from half term to a new learning resources centre at Stanmore College.
The £1.1million centre at the college in Elm Park was opened on Monday last week following months of renovation.
The new block, which is a first-floor extension above an existing building, gives students access to a comprehensive book stock, e-books and e-readers, to support student learning needs and the opportunity to study in a quiet environment.
All study spaces have a dedicated workstation and students can access the college’s virtual learning environment and a range of applications.
Centre manager Glyn Hughes said: “The opening of the new learning resources centre demonstrates the college’s commitment to providing comprehensive support for our students’ learning needs. I look forward to working with my colleagues to deliver the high standards of service our students deserve.”
