A CHELSEA legend hit the spot when he donated a minibus to a school.
Dennis Wise visited the Village School, Bacon Lane, Kingsbury, on Thursday, October 18, to present the vehicle to pupils.
The former Blues and England midfielder, was joined by Steve Frankham, chairman of the Frankham Consultancy Group who designed the school’s new £29million building, which is due to be completed by next summer and will cater for 235 pupils with special educational needs.
The group donated the minibus through its community fundraising arm, Dennis Wise in the Community.
Headteacher Kay Johnson said: “We’re so thrilled to be given such a marvellous gift from Frankhams which will help our pupils and staff immeasurably for many years to come.”
Brent’s lead member for children and families, Councillor Mary Arnold, said: “I’d like to say a very big thank you to Frankhams and Dennis Wise in the Community for this wonderful new minibus.
“It’s been lovely being here today to witness the joy and excitement everyone has about receiving the bus and meeting Dennis Wise.
“I think the experience will stay with the children and staff for a long time.”
