Motorist given bail in North Circular death careless driving case

A MOTORIST is to appear in front of magistrates for a second time in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Park Royal in March.

Ariyamalar Uthayakumar, 57, of Lawrence Crescent, Edgware, is charged with causing death by careless driving, causing death while unlicensed and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

The charges concern the death of 40-year-old Alan Robert Palmer, of no fixed address, on the North Circular on Tuesday, March 27.

Uthayakumar appeared at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on Friday last week. His case was adjourned until November 27, when there will be a hearing to commit him for trial at crown court.
