FAMILIES gathered for the official opening of a new Down’s Syndrome group.
The ribbon was cut to mark the opening of the Upside Down’s group on Saturday, in Pinner Green, Pinner, by Olympic torchbearer Penny Green, who works for Down’s Heart Group.
The group has been set up to help and support families with Down’s Syndrome and is being run by Julie Anslow, who has a son with the condition, and Ang Whyte.
Ms Anslow said: “The morning went so well, there were so many families through the door.
“I knew the group would do well, but never did I think it would happen so quickly.”
Children took part in activities such as cookie decorating, balloon modelling and music sessions.
Ms Whyte added: “I was so pleased to be able to run a music session which was enjoyed by a huge age range.”
The group meets on the first Saturday of every month at 25-27 Pinner Green, Pinner, from 10am to noon.
