A PETITION with 60,000 signatures was handed to health bosses planning to close A&E departments in west London.
Campaigners from Brent were joined by counterparts from Ealing and Hammersmith and Fulham at NHS headquarters, in Victoria, on Monday as the public consultation into the controversial plans closed.
Protesters took to the streets of the borough on Saturday to march from Shepherd’s Bush to Fulham to deliver their message to NHS chiefs before they make their final decision.
NHS North West London has come under fire for its plans to shut the services at Central Middlesex as well as Hammersmith, Ealing and Charing Cross hospitals.
Staff will analyse the responses to the 14-week public consultation and will announce its decision early next year.
