A STUDENT from Saint Dominic's College has died after being involved in a road accident.
Sakina Ahmed, 17, was taken to London Central Hospital by the London Ambulance Service on Friday last week (Sept 14) with head injuries but died in hospital yesterday afternoon (Sept 18).
Police were called at 1pm on Friday to reports of a 17-year-old female pedestrian had been involved in an accident with a blue Toyota Aygo in Petts Hill, at the junction with Wood End Lane, Northolt.
Police say that the driver of the car stopped at the scene.
DC Jim Hastings of the Road Death Investigation Unit said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Petts Hill around the time of the collision to come forward and speak to our officers. We are trying to build up a picture of the events leading up the collision, and of the collision itself. If you saw or heard anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, please contact us as your information may prove vital in piecing together the events of this tragic incident."
Officers from the Met's Road Death Investigation Unit based at Alperton investigate and appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact their witness appeal line on 0208 842 1817.
