REVELLERS said goodbye to a glorious summer with an extravaganza.
Two giant Olympic mascots watched over Gladstone Park in Dollis Hill on Sunday as more than 10,000 visitors celebrated the end of an action-packed summer.
Children took part in free sports activities as organisers channelled Olympic fever into tennis and athletics taster sessions.
The stage was in full swing all day with a Bandstand Marathon, hosting upbeat jazz music from Ronnie Scott’s Rejects, as well as Brazilian beats from the colourful Tropicana to mark the passing of the Games to Rio, where it will be held in four years.
There was also a wide selection of stalls, adventure activities and crafts at the event, which was opened by Mayor of Brent, Councillor Michael Adeyeye.
