A flat was gutted and firemen had to rescue two people from a blaze that erupted in Harrow yesterday (Thursday).
Over 30 firefighters helped tackle the inferno on Headstone Drive, Harrow and Wealdstone.
The fire is thought to have started in a first floor flat around 2pm. Fire crews from Stanmore, Northolt and Harrow rushed to the scene and rescued two people from the flat.
In the area at the time was Jack Welby. He said:"I could smell smoke as I was walking down Station Road. I went to go and check it out and saw all the firefighters. I spoke to the London Fire brigade, who told me that the flat was badly damaged. They had the road closed but have just re opened it."
There are no reports of any injuries but two ambulances were standing by.
