A COUPLE and their one-year-old baby were the victims of assault outside their home.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the serious assault in Rainborough Close, Neasden, on Saturday just after 11.30pm.
The pair were at home with their baby when they heard a noise from a group of people outside their flat.
The husband went outside to see what was causing the noise and saw about 10-15 men in the street. They asked what he wanted and one of the group threw a drink over the victim and others grabbed hold of him and started hitting and punching him.
His wife came out holding their baby and she was hit with a stick and fractured her leg.
The suspects, who are described as black men aged 20 to 30, fled before police arrived.
Detective Inspector Mike West said: “This is a completely cowardly assault, especially when adding the fact that a young baby has been put in danger during the incident.”
