Computer generated images released by police in connection with a distraction burglary in Rayners lane last month
EFITS of two men who duped an elderly man in to letting them into his home have been released by police.
Officers are trying to identify two men they would like to speak to in connection with the distraction burglary last month and have this week released the images.
On Saturday, August 6, between 2.05pm and 2.35pm the men tricked their way into the home of the pensioner in Imperial Drive, Rayners Lane, after they told him they were checking on his welfare at the request of a neighbour who was worried about him.
The man, believing their story, invited the two of them in for a cup of tea and whilst in the house, one of the men asked to use the toilet and went upstairs.
The victim went up to check on him and discovered the man in his bedroom. Both men left empty handed after they were challenged by the victim.
One of the men is described as being aged between 40 and 50, 5ft 6inch, of slim build and spoke with a London accent.
The other is aged between 40 and 50 and approximately 6 feet tall.
If you recognise these men from these computer generated images or can provide police with any information, please call PC Carl Bruce of Harrow Burglary Squad on 020 8733 4349 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
