TWO men armed with baseball bats demanded cash at a branch of Santander in South Harrow before stealing a cash box this morning.
The men entered the branch in Northolt Road at about 6.40am while money was being delivered by the driver of a secure van.
One of them snatched the cash box from the driver before they made off towards Northolt.
The driver of the van was not hurt in the attack.
Police said no weapons have been recovered and no arrests have yet been made.
No description of the suspects has been released.
Police are also appealing for information about an N-Reg Toyota Carina, which was set on fire in nearby Wood End Avenue just minutes after the robbery.
