Jubilee line closure costing £12m

WEEKEND closures on the Jubilee line cost Transport for London (TfL) up to £12million in lost revenue, according to the Mayor of London.

Commuters in Brent and Harrow have suffered as a result of the closures as part of an upgrade, which look set to run into 2011.

Caroline Pidgeon, Liberal Democrat member of the London Assembly, asked mayor Boris Johnson how much TfL had lost in ticket revenue since the upgrade started in 200, and and the mayor replied between £10m and £12m.

He added: "Some of this will have been recouped where people transferred to alternate routes operated by TfL."
