The scene of the fatal crash in North Harrow

A MINICAB driver who was arrested following the death of a motorcyclist in a car crash in North Harrow yesterday has been bailed by police.

The 29-year-old victim, who has not yet been identified, died just after 9am yesterday morning when his black Kawasaki ZX6R collided with a red Vauxhall Vectra in Imperial Drive.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash.

Speaking to the Observer Sergeant Chris Osborne, of Alperton Road Death Ivestigation Unit, said: "It happened on a busy stretch of road and believe there must have been people around who saw what happened.

"We would also like to talk to anyone who saw either the red Vectra or the motorcycle prior to the collision to get a better picture of what happened leading up to this death."

A postmortem will be held at Northwick Park Hospital today and an inquest has been scheduled to open at Barnet Coroners Court tomorrow morning.

Anyone with information can contact officers on 0208 998 5319 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
