A BUTCHER has been charged with knowingly employing illegal immigrants.
Talhat Rehman, 51, from Kenton, was charged by officers from the UK Border Agency's Immigration Crime Team after answering bail at Wembley police station on Tuesday, February 2.
He was bailed to appear before Brent Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded not guilty.
He is due to appear again at the same court on March 23.
It follows three separate enforcement visits by UK Border Agency officers to his premises in Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, during 2009.
The UK Border Agency was launched in 2008 by the Home Office to control migration, prevent border tax fraud, smuggling and immigration crime and to make quick and fair decisions on asylum claims.
