Boy, 11, shot in the face with pellet gun at school

POLICE were called to a Wembley school already mired in controversy last week after an 11-year-old boy was allegedly shot in the face with a pellet gun.

Officers attended Copland Community School, in Cecil Avenue, Wembley, last Tuesday after the boy was left with a broken tooth.

It is the latest incident to hit the school, which has been in turmoil since former headteacher Sir Alan Davies was suspended amid allegations of excessive bonuses.

A 12-year-old boy was arrested for wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and bailed to return to a police station on November 11.

Police have asked anyone with any information about the incident to contact TDC Hammond from Brent CID by calling 020 8733 3709. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
