GCSEs
GCSE pass rates have fallen at more than half of all schools in Harrow - statistics revealed this morning.
The percentage of children achieving five or more A*-C grades (including maths and English) dropped at seven of the 12 schools in the borough with Rooks Heath High achieving the borough's lowest pass rates at 37 per cent.
There was good news for Harrow High School, however, which had come under threat of closure last year when it achieved a meagre 28 per cent, as it was Harrow's biggest riser - achieving 51 per cent.
Nower Hill, Salvatorian, Whitmore and Canons high schools were the only others to improve on there previous scores, achieving increases of 1, 2 and 5 per cent respectively.
Park High's results dropped by 1 per cent, Sacred Heart by 2 per cent while Hatch End and Rooks Heath saw a 3 per cent slump.
Buckingham College and Peterborough and St Margaret's School, which take on far fewer pupils, had the most dramatic decrease, falling by 12 and 14 per cent.
