WE ARE appalled at the prospect of a caravan park in the grounds of Broadlands County Club in Headstone Lane.
This is a residential area which we have enjoyed living in for 24 years, and the main attraction is all the open countryside that surrounds us.
Headstone Lane is a busy road at the best of times and could not possibly cope with additional traffic, in particular large camper vans and touring caravans. It is also a narrow road and large vehicles could not manoeuvre safely.
There are also many schools in the immediate vicinity attended by children of all ages who would be in more danger from extra traffic whilst walking to and from their respective schools.
Mobile homes were also mentioned in the article, does the council realise they run the risk of maybe creating another Dale Farm scenario?
Please, please re-consider this dreadful idea, as it will surely have a detrimental effect on this particular area in Harrow.
