BRENT'S mayor-making ceremony is, as Gareth Daniel says, an important ceremonial occasion, and one which we all pay for.

What better place to make a public protest?

Not content with planning to close half the borough's libraries, Council leader Ann John and Councillor Gareth Daniel now wish to dictate where and how protests can take place.

As a Labour voter (at least until recently), I have to tell Ann John that she should be ashamed of herself.

Brent SOS Libraries is determined that none of the borough's libraries will close, and we will continue to conduct our campaign in whatever way we see fit.
