We must all share blame

LOOK at Eastcote and Ruislip shops and see how they are doing well.

North Harrow traders and residents have themselves to blame for not being able to boost the area's fortunes.

I have been living in North Harrow for over 30 years and have seen a decline in shops.

Many shops are empty and many shop fronts are ugly. Plus there is often litter all over the place.

The wind blows the litter into residents' houses, and they can't be bothered to pick it up either. Too plain lazy!

At Christmas there was hardly any Christmas spirit (lights) and just once there were flowers but it did not last long.

No superstore has replaced Safeway because North Harrow is not attractive enough.

People just prefer to get into their cars and go to nicer shopping places. Rayners Lane is almost as bad as us. Not all shop traders serve with a smile.
