WHEN congratulating newly elected Labour leader Ed Miliband, perhaps the Harrow Council Labour members could helpfully remind him to own up to his role in creating the financial mess that Britain is in and Harrow suffers from.
It would be professionally sound for Mr Miliband to fulfil his promise of a Labour spending plan before the spending review, as well as to support the government and set out how he would cut the deficit.
Interestingly enough, days ago both Miliband brothers made massive unfunded spending commitments - £44billion worth of deficit reduction - during the leadership campaign, in which they also opposed the government's actions to deal with Labour's record deficit.
Given Labour's poor response to the government plans to tackle the deficit, now is the time for Mr Miliband to tell us what he would do instead.
