I FEEL very proud of being a part of the administration which has so successfully turned the council from a low level of performance inherited in 2006 - almost bankrupt and performing inadequately - to a situation now where its financial reserves have quadrupled, and has been judged as 'performing well' by the Audit Commission.

This is a tremendous achievement that only a few councils have managed to attain.

Indeed it is wonderful news for the Harrow people that their council has not only improved significantly in recent years and has clear priorities which they want to see improved, but it is also on target to freeze council tax while maintaining good quaHOty services.
