I TAUGHT English and was in charge of the school library at Nower Hill High School from 1971 to 1979.
During those years I led several school trips, which included Rome and Athens.
The year after I left, a time capsule was buried in the school grounds which comprised many interesting items and memorabilia. One of the items especially pertinent to my teaching career at the school was that I led a group of 40 pupils to Rome. It was a wonderful trip and I am so pleased to have learned that the time capsule containing the film we made in Rome will be on show.
In conversation with the deputy head and school governor, it is apparent that we need an 'old fashioned' projector capable of showing the film we made.
I wonder if a reader of your newspaper would be able to lend the school a suitable projector for a few days so that the film may be shown to the pupils and teachers past and present?
