THE make-up of central and local government has undergone a major shake-up in the past few weeks, but how that will affect us is still shrouded in uncertainty.
It has been suggested that the Con-Lib Dem coalition may hand more responsibility to councils - meaning the Labour group in Harrow and Brent could find themselves with even tougher decisions than they envisaged.
But, if the way local government is funded is in fact reviewed they may be given more funds to work with.
This paper campaigned tirelessly to secure a better deal for Harrow, and if this is finally secured the difficult financial calls that face the council may be made slightly easier and it could be an encouraging move.
As it stands, however, many of these decisions have yet to be made and the residents of Harrow and Brent will have to wait nervously to see how cuts, changes to legislation and the way in which different political groups work together affect them personally.
