COULD it be you? One lucky Harrovian has become a millionaire but just doesn't know it yet.
The National Lottery is hunting for a winning ticket which was bought in Harrow for the EuroMillions millionaire raffle prize and is touring the borough today (Friday).
The ticket was bought for the draw which took place on the evening of the Olympic Opening Ceremony on Friday July 27 when the millionaire-makers promised there would be 100 more people in the UK with £1m in their pocket by the end of the night.
In total seven people have yet to claim their life-changing prize and one of them is in Harrow. For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle selection printed on their ticket.
The winning selection on Friday 27 July for this prize was DZY838902 and the lucky ticket-holder has until 23 January 2013 to claim their prize and the National Lottery will be touring the borough in an eye-catching van to make people aware of this.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: "The Opening Ceremony was a huge night for the nation and this amazing draw was truly part of a night to remember, with 100 UK players becoming millionaires as the torch was lit above London. However, we’re still waiting for the lucky ticket-holder from the London Borough of Harrow to check their tickets and claim their prize, and we’re hoping that our ad van will be seen by as many players as possible today. We’re urging everyone to look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding so that this prize can turn the lucky winner into the newest member of the National Lottery millionaires’ club. Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that they come forward to claim their win."
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
