Elton to wed at Windsor

Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish will marry at the same venue Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles tied the knot earlier this year.

Fittingly, the Queen of tantrums will say his vows in a civil partnership ceremony at the 17th century Windsor Guildhall, Berkshire, on December 21.

According to the Daily Mirror, the wedding banns went up at Maidenhead Town Hall yesterday and showed Sir Elton Hercules John is to marry David James Furnish.

Even Clair Williams - the same registrar that married the future King - will perform the ceremony.

Following the formals, the party will take place at the happy couple’s estate. Guests are expected to include Victoria Beckham, George Michael and Liz Hurley.

Former Boyzone star Stephen Gately will also attend the knees-up.

He commented: “It was actually Elton who introduced me to my partner, Andrew.

“We can’t wait to go to his wedding – it will be very lavish. Tiaras but certainly no tantrums!”
