Five of the best: College students show off a brilliant display of art

PART-TIME students at Harrow College are exhibiting artwork in the town centre.

Watercolours, drawings, etchings and multimedia works are on display at Gayton Library until Saturday, July 17.

Exhibitor John Vickers took early retirement from his teaching job and now spends most of his time creating art.

He says: "I fancied doing something like this. I enrolled and it's been wonderful. I look at buildings and scenery, the whole world in a different way now. I see it as art."
