Help with annual wildlife survey at Brent Reservoir

SPOT damsel flies, bats and birds while strolling around Brent Reservoir and taking part in British

Waterways' annual wildlife survey.

The body's environment manager for London, Leela O'Dea, is hosting a series of free guided walks on Friday, August 7, at the Site of Special Scientific Interest during which participants will document the animals, insects and birds they see.

She said: "The canals, rivers, docks and reservoirs of London are teeming with wildlife and we are calling upon the public to help us map where the various species are located across the capital.

"At the moment it seems that Londoners are being out-spotted by the nature lovers of the South West, the Midlands and even Yorkshire, which is why we are encouraging people to get out and about, enjoy a walk by the water and tell us what they see."
