Low-cost landscapes, inexpensive images and cheap contemporary sculpture - bargains are to found at Brent's third annual Affordable Art Show at The Gallery at Willesden Green, where many pieces will carry a price tag under £100.
Lorenzo Belenguer, gallery coordinator, says: "Due to the credit crunch, we have seen an increase in visitors looking for original artworks at a more affordable price by emerging artists. People have started to look more to local businesses."
Items from up-and-coming creative types as well as established local artists will be available to buy at the show.
Lorenzo has promised an eclectic array of artwork, from painting to sculpture and from photography to prints - among which customers may just find the 'next big thing'.
The Brent Affordable Art Show - organised by Brent Artists Resource - was conceived to inspire new audiences to familiarise themselves with contemporary art in the area, and to encourage the purchasing and collecting of work by local artists.
Lorenzo says: "This is a unique opportunity to explore the hidden art of one of London's most vibrant and culturally diverse communities."
Art aficionados are welcome to attend the preview party at the gallery, at Willesden Green Library Centre, High Road, Willesden Green, on Thursday, November 20, between 6pm and 8pm.
